Gandia is situated in the heart of the 'La Safor' within the Valencian Community, 65km south of Valencia and 116km north of Alicante. It boasts a privileged location between sea and mountain and has a rich historical atmosphere. The town has around 69,000 inhabitants, but during the summer months the population is boosted to around 125,000. The landscape in the Gandia area offers wide, clean, sandy beaches as well as wild mountain ranges.

The town centre contains many important historical monuments including the Cathedral, Ducal Palace and the Archaelogical Museum
